Hydraulics to lower Trailer

Hydraulics to lower Trailer
This weekend a bunch of us met on the other side of town from my house to take a ride back over to the Dealer near my house. So I got the trailer hitched up and got the bike on there fine. But, when I got to the parking lot and went to roll the bike off the trailer I dropped it. Of course everybody got a good laugh out of that.
The problem is I never have a problem getting the bike on the trailer, but I always feel unsteady getting off the trailer and down the ramp. What I am thinking about doing is putting hyrdaulics on it so that I can lower the bed of the trailer flat on the ground and just run it straight off.
Does this sound doable? How expensive might it be to get someone to do this?
Anyway the bike just had some small scratches to the Engine Guard and the back of the pipes. We all ended up have a good 25 mile ride with no more incidents. We spent the afternoon looking at all the cool new stuff at the dealer and had a good time. Afterwards I rode my bike back to the house and dropped it off. Then my wife took me across town to pick up my truck and trailer. All in All a good day.

Funny, many people here have a problem putting a bike on a trailer. That is they have a problem with anyone putting a bike on a trailer.

Ok, Hi, my name is Frog and I'm an anti-trailer person, but I am recovering so I no longer slam trailer queens. BUT, did I read this right? You trailered across town for a 25 mile ride? Please tell me you're kidding so this poor old man doesn't have to have a relapse. Sheesh, I can probably ride across town faster than you can get the bike on the trailer and strapped down ......

Great story. I'll contract to build you a trailer that lowers itself for the right price. I'll even guarantee it for 50 miles (1 across town round trip). Trips to Sturgis may void the warrante though.

Look I am 79 years old and I can still squeeze a clutch, but with my hips I can only stay in the saddle for about an hour maybe an hour and a half a day. Then it's two shots of Jim Beam and 4 aspirin to get through the night.
I bought my first Bike in 1952 from a guy headed off to Korea. It was a 1951 Harley Hydra Glide. I promised to sell it back to him when he got back home but he never made it.
