Dissatisfied with my Fulmer, which is apparently built by Chinese political prisoners who have had their eyes poked out and their fingers cut off...oooh, to graphic even for me (retch...gorp). The edge tape pops off all by itself sometimes (which is good, if you want it to pop off), and it makes loud, musical whistling noises if you turn your head just so at 60mph. Naturally, I bought the cheapest helmet I could. Sometimes I just don't make any sense at all, like right now, when I realize that you're asking about full face helmets during the winter, and I live in Mississippi where it's winter for about 4 weeks. Sorry. Never mind.

I live in North FL and From November on can appreciate a Full Face Helmet on a Lot of Cooler Days ... Unlike some think not all of Florida has the weather of Miami Beach Have seen Lake City as low as 14 .. although the Norm for winter is mid 40's for Low and Mid 60's for a high .. To me thats Great Riding Weather Can gear up properly without roasting yourself..

I've got an Icon Airframe FF and I like it a lot, not to heavy, fits nice, has good venting for when it gets warmer (wore it on the Sportster today in 100+ degree temps) and its not to expensive.

I have an HJC CL-SP. I hate wearing a full face helmet, but when it is in the 30's or 40's it is the only way I can ride comfortably. The helmet is good for the price, but I am thinking about buying a Shoei or an Arai for this winter. It is just hard for me to justify spending hundreds of dollars for a helmet I only wear for two months of riding.

On thing I forgot to add, get a neck gator as well. Tuck it into the bottom of the FF and you'll be nice and warm down into the 30's no problem.

Why do you need a full face for winter. I ride with my 1/2 helmet year round...

Definitely get a balaclava and tuck the neck into your jacket, I even put a thin stocking cap over that on an early spring trip this year. I like Scorpion EXO-700 helmets, one kept my skull intact on a wreck, so I know they do the job. Most makers make an air dam that snaps or velcors in to keep the cold air from swirling onto your face, they work well enough, but you have to be careful with the faceshield fogging up.

I have had a couple of FF and modular helmets before I tried on an Arai at a show. I now have an Arai and I love it. I have a hard head to fit (oval) and the Arai Profile is the first helmet I have ever owned of any style that actually fits my head.
