I look at it this way...If It has HARLEY on it then it is worth owning. I have gotten so many complements on the color of mine from members of MC and people yelling over from cars next to me. I also like the way the color changes as you move around the bike.

 

my uncle had a 70s FLH in the early-mid 90s that was purple... nobody knocked it. he got ran over 4 times in 1 accident in a 7-11 parking lot... We were gonna rebuild it and he was gonna teach me to ride and it was gonna be my first bike... he passed away in 96 before we could rebuild it... his dad didnt know the bike was supposed to be mine so he gave it to Bob Spina.....

 

I bought my ex a purple 2002 1200 Custom Sportster, (prior to her becoming an ex).

 

wouldn't be my first pick that's for sure but its not the worst colour I've seen. Depends on the "tone" as well; dark purple could look kinda cool.... I saw a dark purple bike with silver flames that looked awesome.

 

I'd but a purple bike..deep dark purple.. but not green ,,never green.

 

My 02 Wide Glide and wifes 99 Sporty are both Concord purple.

I bought a Birch white FLHTP. I rode it for a while ,trying to decide on a color. Went with cobalt blue pearl AKA purple.
