My wife has a new Super Glide Custom and it's Black Ice Pearl. It's kind of purple and blue and black. More purplue or blueple.
She gets a lot of compliments on the color.

The wife wants her next bike to be purple, her last one was the blueish purple color.

 

My '08 Street Bob is painted Black Cherry, but in certain light it looks purple. It wouldn't have been my first choice, but I bought it used, and it was a good price. I don't have the money now, but would love to paint it something different in the future. Seems that there are so many people riding black HDs. Black does look incredible though. To each his own, but a little variety is nice to see.

 

My thoughts exactly! That is why I am painting mine Kandy Apple Blue soon. So many black bikes, and it makes them all look so much alike, even if they are customized. To each his own though.

 

i dont think there is much wrong with them!! i would only buy a black bike,exception is the silver and black 03s

 

This is a 1995 FXDL that I bought w/7K miles for $4K. I thought it was a decent deal. I do take a ribbing about it being a "Sissy's bike" and all that, but it's in good humor. There are others who say they love the "retro" look and wouldn't repaint, so there's definitely different opinions out there about purple. Frankly, I think it looks good, so no plans to change it - at least for now, anyway.

I had a purple sporty that I bought for the price.....

No way... purple is the slowest color.

 

Looks more blue than purple to me.
