If you think riding with your feet hanging out on gravel will help you, your in for a big surprise. The minute your foot hits the dirt, it's out from under you and away you go. Unless of course your moving at less than walking speed. Flat track racers put one leg down around fast tight turns but they wear a special steel shoe which allows it to slide.

Dragging your feet too long is a dang good way to get your feet and legs broken in a hurry. Let them to continue to do it, keeps me a good distance away from them!

Well actually, I just had a double knee replacement that went bad. Can't bend either of my legs.

No seriously, before I put my forwards on my Lowrider, I would get cramps in my thighs from the mids and would straighten my legs out in a forward position and it would help relieve the cramps.

On another note, drag your heel just off the ground and travel over one of those "Bods Dots" and see how friggin' much like a big sledge hammer in the bottom of the heel that feels.

Oh, and my boss is always on my *** 'bout draggin' my feet at work.

Wow, this was really a lame post!

Maybe it was me. I went from an 84 Sportster, to a 99 Softail Custom, and kept dragging my feet looking for the foot pegs. After riding the same bike for 25 years, those pegs just weren't where they were supposed to be. I have put about 2000 miles on it now, and I think I've got it. Have a good day ya'all. Jim

I'd rather see feet down than six feet under...

Ridiculous thread that I replied to anyway.

Dragging your feet is a good way to break an ankle if you catch a foot peg.

Folks are gonna do exactly what they are gonna do. Those who want to change will, and those who don't want to, or don't see a need to won't. Those who wish to learn and improve will, and those who have never had a problem as of yet and have no interest in changing won't make the effort. It's a simple as that.
