New info on new Harleys!

I head they have a new bike that does not need a kickstand anymore. It floats on a cushion of air and keeps it upright. The newest thing for sure.

I heard they were adding two more wheels to all models, negating ANY need for a kickstand!
AND - all 2010's are watercooled electrics! Except for the Sporty.......
At least that's what the salesman's cousin said.

Yes, yes, two more wheels, a passenger seat and rear seat, trunk and windshields all around. They are going to call it the FLCAGE.

I forget the name of the research company that looked into this for Harley-Davidson, but the results were pretty conclusive. That's why HD felt the need to make the change. It makes sense if you think about it.
They might even add an upgrade kit to previous year models to accomodate a right-side kickstand. It'll probably show up in the parts catalog.

I just found out that Harley is going to put the kickstand on the RIGHT side of the bike. They decided to make this change after doing a lot of research. Apparently people park their bikes on slopes where a right-side kickstand would be more beneficial than a left-side kickstand quite a bit more often than the other way around. This change will allow for the bikes to be stood up easier. I'm sure this change will appeal to smaller riders, older riders, and the women riders entering the market. I'm happy to see Harley-Davidson doing what they can to be better than the competition. Small, but significant, changes like this are what will keep the company around for many more years.
