Owning pets is a responsibility that some don't take seriously. They depend on you for most everything unless they are let to run free.

A guy across the river in rural Illinois has been charged with animal cruelty (or something like that) for putting down (shot) his old sick dog. Farmer neighbor sees no problem, as that's how it's done out on the farm. Other neighbor (rather yuppie looking) says that no adult in their right mind could do such a thing. Opinions?
