The road from Grand Lake to Estes is Trail Ridge.
You prabably already know that it is the highest continous paved road
in the country. Wanted to do that one this year but don't think I'll make it.
Did it last Oct. and they had the ice signs out at the higher elevations.
Was a bit nerve racking constantly looking for ice. Never actually hit any.
It was all along the edge of the road. Don't want to do that again!
Tomorrow going over the Peak to Peak Highway. Will head for Lyons and over to Estes.
Then Hy.7 which turns into 72 back to town.
The stone church I posted a while back is along that way.
It snowed up there a few days ago but the road should be clear now.
Enjoy breakfast!
