Not where I live in this county but lot of others ya can....
Personally, always was partial to my 06 with either 165gr or 180gr bulletsthat is till Marlin brought the Guide Gun out a few years back in 45/70. Now, in PA and WV, thats all I hunt with.

I've a 45-70 rolling block repo iron sights
I use to shoot competitively. I wasn't great "D-C" league but it was fun just to shoot
I've collected alot of guns n ammo thru the years

I had an old .444 Marlin for a while in Missery was about the same round said and done , keep the open sights wasn't going to get over 100 yrds anyway in the brush
