It appears I made a good buy on this stereo stuff. I won't keep much of it. The CD player (Aiwa) is a five-disc drawer type that is working very well, and for which I already have a buyer. The cassette deck (Pioneer) is spoken for, too. Got a pair of Jensen tower speakers that look OK. I'll hook 'em up tomorrow. There's a Cerwin Vega center speaker that has cosmetic damage on the outside, but the speakers are fine. A baby Pioneer receiver came with it. Maybe 15 watts a channel. Finally, there is Denon powered sub-woofer that looks 'bout new. It's worth way more than the $50 I paid for the whole lot.
