Been around the Lawrence area. Real nice in the summer. Except for that dang humidity!
Unfortunately, our area is even worse. 95* and 95%. And that is not a joke. But, you learn to deal with it, accept, and move on. Bitching about it the whole time, of course. Home is where home is, you know?

I was in St. Louis in July once. I think if I was to stay for a while I'd probably get
used to it. It's killer when you just visit tho.

When I was a kid and we didn't have A/C (parents didn't get it or a color tv until after I graduated) you did get used to the heat and humidity. Not anymore. Every time you step outside you start sweating. At least from ~9:00 AM until dark. But, we get our good days through the summer, have nice springs and great falls. Our winters are nothing like what the Putzilvanians or Jim have to endure, and I get quite a few opportunities to get out and ride.
Today, it is 32* with a windchill of 24*, overcast, windy, and generally blah. It is refreshing walking the pup around, though. I kinda like winter, though. I hope it stays like this through the weekend, as I plan on going trout fishing. Cold weather keeps the I-guys (idiots) out of my way!
