Eastern Kansas, really. have a look at the Flint Hills region between Lawrence and Junction City. And, north and south of that line. Beautiful country in the spring and fall, or in the summer with air conditioning! Winter sucks there!

 

Next year we'll just follow Horace Greeley's advice (although it is said that he really did not make the line up, but only printed it!).

 

To be totally honest, I can find the beauty in just about anywhere. Even Iowa. Just not in the middle of a 100* day!

 

I've been tryin' to get closer to the mountains all my life. Lived where I could

see'em from the grocerie store right across the hi-wayfor about 5 years.
Daughter lives about a block
from where I met you guys. I would'a met ya there but she was mad at me at

the time. I forget why. Anyway, now I live about 5 miles from where I grew up.

So yeah, I am whinning & some cheese & crackers would probably make my

blood pressure go up.

 

I must like those mountains quite a bit myself, seeing as I keep making my way out to them!

 

Been around the Lawrence area. Real nice in the summer. Except for that dang humidity!

 

I'm thinkin' we need to spend about a month just campin' & ridin' up in them thar hills.
