I had a rattle in the drivetrain. Surdyke techs thought it might be the primary chain adjuster. But, he found no problem with the adjuster. Disassembled the clutch to make sure problem wasn't there. It wasn't. Finally found that the compensator bolt was loose. I don't know what the compensator bolt is myself. Anyway, the problem is solved, and they didn't charge me a dime. Not even for the $42.79 gasket. People can call dealers stealers all they want, but I like businesses that take care of me like that!

Must not have been a rash of them around here. I went back and hung with the techs for a good while, BS'ing. They haven't seen a SB on the compensator bolt, but there is one out on the primary chain adjuster.
