Very small dings (no worse than others I have in my fender) and the scratches aren't bad either. The metal on the one I bought is good and straight. Mine not only has a big ding in it, but it is knocked crookidated, too. I'll play with it after I have it off. Besides, I've spent $35 for a lot more useless stuff than a fender!!
On the new fender just sand'er clean, prime & paint. Sure woulda' liked to have tried my
hand at the old one. Bet I could've got it real straight & nice.
Did I mention that I only paid $35??? Can of Krylon is cheal, too! hehe Not done playing with this one, either. Sheesh, between you and bagger, I'd have thought I committed a capital offense! Now get off my back before I send my mole army after ya!!
Ok ok! Jeez! Just tryin'na help! hehe! Besides, I kinda' like messin' with that kinda' stuff.
Will the old trim fit the new one?
Yeah, but I'll have to drill the holes. Well, maybe the old trim will fit. The one side is pretty messed up. Not sure how straight it will go without cracking the chrome. i'll find out!
Seems to me if the trim fits it should go back on just fine. Didn't see any dings in it which is
real lucky considering the way the dent goes under the light frame.
