And like I said, don't know if it was still used in 03 or not.
Basicly the timing is done with signals from the Crank Position Sensor and the map in the module.

\So does a carb model need to get remapped?

ok gs34doc, you seem to know the most about this stuff. How do I go about adjusting the timing on an 03 FLHR? That is where this cinverstation started.

That's what I was saying MS....I don't believe you can. If in fact you do have a VOES, there is some adjustment that can be done there but, If they are just using the electronics on your bike, then the only way is with a computer or a tuner.
Least, that's the way I understand it.

The way I understand the VOES is that it is either on or off. No in between.
