I feel for you. I pulled my back years ago, and I tried to soak my back in the tub. It felt fairly good, but I was unable to stand up to get out of the tub. I literally had to slide myself out onto the floor, get onto my knees, then have my wife help me up. I think I ended up worse than I started with.

Daughter and I were sledding on one of those plastic boats ice fisher people use to drag gear out on the ice.
Both ended up with bruised tail bones. Lesson learned.
