June bugs are the worst, imo. When I was a kid, and finally old enough to ride without a helmet, one hit me square between the eyes at highway speed. Just about knocked me off the bike.

 

I had a bee or a wasp (don't knnow and don't care: it still hurt!) get into the sleeve of my leather jacket while riding. It stung so bad that I stopped on the side of a busy road and blocked traffic. I proceeded to jump up and down, trying to get the leather jacket off my sweating body while the cagers were honking about the interruption of their rush-hour commute...

I zip up my sleeves all the way now...

 

I don't think they were honking because of being delayed. I think they wanted you to take more off. Not every day you get a biker girl doing a strip tease in the middle of traffic.

 

Lol! Let me tell you that it wasn't graceful at all! It hurt like h$ll!

 

Had one in the helmet stung me in the right temple. I thought someone ahead of me threw qut a butt, felt like it was burning me. Also while wearing a tee shirt one went up my sleeve down to the bottom of my back. They surely do hurt.

 

I hate this thread! Almost as much as I hate bees!

I haven't been stung yet - now I'm sweating it. Got swarmed a time or two cutting wood when I was a wee lad, not funny so a bee or wasp puts me in 'war'/'freak'out' mode pretty quickly.
