And dangerous too!

For many here in the south, the sight of flashing headlights makes them do very stupid things.

I've seen one crash and countless near misses simply because a motorist sees an oncoming MC with flashing (modulating) headlights and then either dives for the side of the road or slams on the brakes without consideration of other vehicles around them.

Ya gotta remember that a GW doesn't even sound like it's running. LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES!! Ya gotta come up with a creative way to save your life if your runnin silent. IMHO

I've never talked to anyone who has one that has had this problem. I have several friends who have used them for years and swear by them. And I live in the south too.

I talked to a guy that once HAD one....... remov ed the damn thing when a semi forced him onto the shoulder side breakdown lane .... seem's truck was coming on slower traffic and the flashing appeared to be a "flash to pass" signal , guy chased the truck down to explain his displeasure at the rest area , and the driver told him he thought the bike was letting him out ............ size of bike can appear beyond the end of a trailer in a momentary glance...
