Motorcycle jack Lift

+1 on search for the 100s of threads that ask "what type of jack do you have?" not to be an azz or anything. you will get every type of reason to have or not to have a certain type of jack. read through them all and make an informed decision.
Btw- most differences you will find in all the jacks out there are folks opinion about them and the price. the main thing is they all lift your bike up and set it down when you are done. dont settle on the reasoning that the most expensive one or the hd brand is the best. that isnt always the case. good luck

The J&S is a great jack but I couldn't see spending the coin for it. Went with a Larin. OK but little shaky. Not sure if it's dangerous but having had the bike up on a J&S a couple of times I can tell the difference.
Try a search on here on Jacks. Lots of opinions and I found them very helpful

I also use a J&S jack for my SG. Happy with the purchase. Bikes been sitting on the jack all winter and works as advertised. If money is tight, sure there might be an alternative that will work for you but only you know this. I wasn't going to skimp on a jack after spending soo much on a scooter. Nor do I need to get hurt while working on her. Also, oil pan option is real nice.
