Oh no, I have to admit now that I have three helmets to match my mood of the day. I have my Scorpion half, my Shoei modular and my brand spank'n new Seer half helmet that matches my bike. Now where am I gonna get a set of leathers to match? The cheapest helmet I have is the Scorpion and that was just over $100.00. The other two were over $300.00. I value my noggin as much as my bike.

In the beginning, it was the thing to sport a $15 helmet and coat it with stickers. But after witnessing a couple spills and the little protection the things actually gave, I broke down and actually got a DOT 1/2. If I have a survivable accident, at least I might have a better chance of not suffering brain damage. But we are many and varied so to each his own!

Shoei for me. HAd a HJC and it got crunched when the b*tch hit me and it saved my punkin. decided then and there I'd only wear a DOT and it would not be the cheapest I could find.

Got one 1/2 and just bought a new HJC FS-10.Can't say I've ever spent less than a bill for a helmet.

 

I have four helmets...two half helmets, one 3/4, and one novelty. Together, they cost about $160.

I like to have options. Plus I wear the one that matches my outfit the best. Don't you?

 

My only helmet is an ACC half helmet. I bounced my head off the pavement with one on and it saved my bacon! On my second one now.
