A couple of rides that are very cool, Needels Hwy, Iron Mt. Road, and Spearfish Canyon.
Vanauker Canyon is also pretty nice. Also not to be missed is Mt. Rushmore. We stay at Bear Butte Creek Campground, you can google it and read about it. They have bands, bar and cook shack, showers. Last year was 20.00 a nite a person. It is fairly quite. A couple of the big bars to go to are Full Throttle, both of the Broken Spoke locations. Also One Eyed Jacks down town is very good for girl watching. As others have said prepare for any and all weather. We have never gone and not been rained on at some point in our trip. Hope this helps. You can pm me if you have other questions. Wr.

The 3 years we went we stayed there. Great place and pretty quiet at night. When did you go?

I looked at hotel prices. Geez I can stay at a four star hotel other places for that. Campgrounds here I come. Good thing I was a boy scout and leader for years.

That's where we stayed last year. Considering that you are very subject to having a thunderstorm with lots of rain almost every day some years, it's worth it to me.

You can still go out and party if that's on the agenda.

Going to sturgis this coming year for the first time also. I am REALLY looking forward to it but I've heard that the lodging is going to be expensive. There will be two other couples going along with my wife and me. We are in the process of looking at renting a house right now. I can't believe the price they asking and getting but I guess that is to be expected. See ya come August

Default Its the REAL "man-cation"

I'm goin all in, Rentn the R.V. me and 3 buddies drivin out trailerin' bikes (yeah I know, real men would drive the bikes but whered we stay once there) and stayin at a sweet campground in Hill City under Rushmores noses for under 700.00 per person including food and a clean bathroom!

Keep those 200.00 per night hotels! Sturgis, baby, STURGIS!!!
