Default Bandana on the Bars (Questions) ?

So I've seen some bikes with Bandana's on the Bars....

And I would like some Guidance....

Anything I should Know as far as COLORS or PLACEMENT of it on the bars ?
example: I don't want a MC to think I'm a guy they should beat up...

Safest thing to do is stick with a State or American flag. Put it on the right side of the handlebars (I put mine about half way up).
Really not a big deal unless you are flying an MC's colors. Some of them may see it as support and like it. Some of them may not like it at all. (That's why I say "safest".)

I just wouldn't put a bandana on my bars because I wouldn't want someone to make the mistake of thinking I was in ANY kind of gang.

I'm not a doo-rag type person but will wear a headband. I just can't wear it under my helmet without my brain getting squashed..Having lost a few bandana's out of my back pocket while riding, every now and then I just tie it to the bars till I get where I'm going. Never gave it any thought and probably still won't. If it offends anyone at any time, I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there. That's just me tho.

I was thinking a Black Bandana for my black bike....
If anyone knows if this could be an issue ? (I'm in the SF Bay Area, but would travel to
NV and Arizona)

Always wear clean underwear in case someone doesn't like your bandana or placement therof and beats the living crap out of you and then you have to be rushed to the nearest hospital.
Then again make sure your underwear is bleached white and contains no colors or patterns that could offend any onlookers of your beat down and make them join in the fun of kicking your a$$.
