(It's amazing what kind of threads will just take off.)

"Biker" is not a tag most motorcycle owners/riders would apply to themselves. But it's a tag that non-motorcycle folk apply to all of us, like it or not. The more of the "uniform" you have--you know what I'm talking about--the more likely you will be called this.

But any dood who goes around calling himself a "biker".....

+1 faber.

That about sums it up for me. I don't refer to myself as a "biker". If I'm introduced to someone who doesn't ride & they soon find out I have one, they're quick to say, "Really? so, you're a biker".

My response is, well yeah, I guess if riding a motorcycle means you're a biker then I guess I'm a biker. I don't think the tag "biker" today means to most people what it did 40 or 50 years ago.

According to a little girl, I'm a scary biker. I frighten children.

Am I a biker... Hmmmm, I have two bikes I ride at home, depending on where and how long I'll be gone. I have a bike I ride at work. So, am I a biker, I don't know and really don't care. I do know I have a pretty good life and couldn't be happer.

Cool

I don't know if I'm a biker but I do know I'm not a musician since I'm a drummer.
