When we started riding in 2003, we both had Hondas. My wife has a good friend who happens to be a 1%'er. He kept telling her how she needed to get a Harley. He was right.

Had a bridgestone 350 back in 1971 could not afford a sportster. When my kids got older were on there own. \\;\\\\\\;Got two Sportsters 07 883 low 06 1200c \\;\\\\\\;All ways liked the Sportster for what it is a around town bar hopping bike. Looking for a softtail with a springer front end saw a real clean one at Marcus Dary for sale a 98 low miles 3400 black clean lots of HD after market chrome. was asking 10,900.00 didn't take phone # I'll find another still looking. Nothing has the sound of a Harley " answer to the ? who inspired me The older guys who used to get there gas at the gas station were I worked as a kid in the Bronx N.Y. back in 1965. Well...when I was a kid growing up in the mid to late 60s, the only people that I knew riding Harleys were 1% Patch Holders. 81, Outlaws, Pagans, then Warlocks. I've never been a Patch Holder, but I've had my opportunities when I was young\\; I was too damn independent even then to join a 'Club'. Plus, I was doing enough stupid **** all on my own to get me thrown in jail, I didn't need any help. I've hung out with HA, Outlaws, and Warlocks and still have a couple of good friends who are Patch Holders. I went to the Warlocks yearly get together on Cocoa Beach and had a ball. Man, there were Warlocks from all over the planet...Good group of people.

I guess the answer is 'yes', I've been affected by Outlaw Clubs. I find it ironic, the whole "biker look", black leather jacket, leather vest, half gloves, engineer boots, chaps, dew rags, etc. directly relate to the Outlaw Bikers, and yet, "nobody has \\;been influenced by the Outlaw Biker culture". Hah!

LOLOL, You're right about that!!!! \\;
All I know is that the Honda got me to and from work for about a year when I had no other means of transportation. \\; I rode what I had and in all kinds of weather. \\; Of course, it wasn't long after I met my then future husband that the Honda found a new home and I was wearing a property patch. \\; I have nothing bad to say about AOA. \\; I was treated well. \\; Then again, that may have had something to do with who my old man was at the time. \\; That was a long ago though. \\; He still advises me on my engine mods though! LOL

When I was a kid, some of my friends has Rupp mini-bikes or Honda 70's. My family did not have the money for such an "extravagance" therfore, no bike. Once I was older and working I was finally able to get myself a beater. A 1966 Suzuki 150. Then along came "On Any Sunday". Now I can honestly say that that flik was most definatley my greatest inspiration besides Steve McQueen in "The Great Escape". To me at the time, Outlaws meant troublemakers and bad movies.
