29 pages of posts on this *sshole subject? WTF. If you like loud pipes, get loud pipes. If you don't like loud pipes, don't get loud pipes. Is that so difficult? Whether or not either one saves life won't be proven here. Remember: don't believe

It's 29 pages because some prospect hasn't learned to edit yet and has posted parts of the same message three times.

Spit it out, son.

There are few things I hate more than being under a collapsed 78 story building for 43 days. Anything over about 15 stories or anything more than about a week just pisses me off.

It's also 29 pages because someone hasn't changed their settings to include more posts per page. It's only 8 pages for me.

My Sporty 1200S had such a crap horn that I went out and found an air horn setup for it. I can state that from my experience, those air horns saved my butt more than a couple times. If that idiot on a cell phone thinks that he's merging into a big rig, he corrects in a big hurry! My Road King has a fairly substantial horn on it now. I had loud and not so loud pipes on my bikes, can't really say whether they helped deter cages. I usually try to ride ahead of "packs" of cages when ever possible, or stay behind them when they appear untrustworthy. The best offense is a good defense sometimes.

Anyone who says they don't need loud pipes because they don't ride in blind spots is fooling themselves. We all do at one time or another. Loud pipes help you be "seen" when you are in a blindspot, even if you are only there for a second.
