Exactly. You put it right on the money, risdo. Makin' noise can help in some cases, but if that's all you've got in your "stay alive toolkit" you're eventually going down.

You also nailed it with 'eyes first.' "See the threat, Know the threat" is how we taught that in the Army.

I love loud pipes they sound good to me,and I think it is a shame that more and more states now are trying to band them.
I'am not sure if loud pipes saves lifes ,but if it saves just one life it fine with me!........
I seen something in a mag the other day that seems interesting.
It was a strobe light kit that mounts in the frame and it claims it get you noticed, I don't know if it get you the attention of the guy with the traffic cone stuck in his a##... Ha!
