Hey Rick,
I would get lost; they are all covered in snow and ice! Hope you're feeling better.

Good afternoon all. Scooby got her annual shots and now has her tags for the year. The wife wants to go out to dinner. I would like to stay in, guess which one will happen?

Ice - 1, old man - 0. I'll have a sore butt for a few days.

Neighbor helped me put the new LG on its mount yesterday. First impression, this is easier to start up than the Samsung, and I like the remote much better. As the evening wore on, the picture is just wrong somehow, how do you get bluetooth ear pods to hook up, and why do the instructions and on screen menus seem like they left some stuff out? Did figure out the picture issue eventually, there's an on-off setting for something I didn't know anything about for better signals from a latest protocol device attached to the tv. On by default. My Roku doesn't have that, turned it off, nice picture, maybe a little better than the Samsung (two years newer, too). Audio is definitely better. A lot of the features only work with internet, don't see why, and all I need off the internet I get from the Roku and it's easier to use than either tv, I've not going to bother with the wifi setup. Without youtube and google, this tv could be frustrating to get working the way you like it. The Samsung was easy to tweak after the initial startup, no internet help needed.

My take on what's better, LG or Samsung - the one with the remote you like best. Or dislike the least. Equivalent models except for the price, I'd probably take the cheaper one, they're both good.
