Well, the ram won't start. I think it's the fuel pump, but I'm not longer in the wrenching business, so I'll tow it to the shop later

Ha!
We all could see this coming.
As of 3:30 CST today, my boss says.....
"Say, we're just curious but would you consider sticking around for a little bit after your retirement date? We're not sure how long but we're interested in your thoughts."
Told him I would consider it over the weekend, but only under renegotiated terms to be discussed.

Stan, are things going well at work currently? Do you enjoy what you are doing? And who you are working with? If so, you might consider telling them I'll give you 3 months at $xxxxx.xx. If you are having issues and they are not doing what we think would be the right thing to do, I'd tell them I am worn out. I need to sit back and gather myself. Or something and leave. I retired at 67 and would have worked another year or two had we had decent management that would work with us rather than stick it up our butts.
Give it some thought and hopefully you'll make the right decision. Much easier to stay on and help those who help you. Rather than stay on and fight an unwinnable battle. Good luck on your decision.
And like I always say, this is my thought and opinion....and opinions are like ********. Some are better than others!!!

I have been a dedicated Les Paul man for many years. My Les Paul of choice for quite a while is a 60's Tribute with P90's. They are chambered for weight relief which I like. Less weight is a good thing at my age. This SG is light as a feather compared to most electric guitars making the attraction strong. You are correct, one rarely sees the Junior model in the wild. I had never seen one in a store. Once I played it I knew I had to have it. I did not need it but I had to have it. It was odd because it had no tags on it but you could tell it was new. It was not in the store system and he actually had to enter the serial number to find the guitar in their data base. He thought it got sent over from another one of their locations. I got it $200 off retail. Then he took 50% off a nice TKL case for me since it was an orphan with no original case in he store. I could not be happier with it.

Thanks Russ!
Denny..... here's the deal. I enjoy my work and I'm good at it, providing solutions for people with big commercial equipment that are in a jam. The problem is my company has understaffed us for years and it's gotten worse. Labor is a pure commodity and they don't give a damn.
However, after some consideration I will name my price and if they don't like it I have no problem whatsoever calling it a day. If they're willing to work with me on my terms I might stick around for another month or whatever. Easy- Peasy.

More than surprised how tasty the meals at the new Mexican restaurant were. Definitely worth going again.

Nothing from your better half?

Look for taqueria’s to open on every corner with our newest semi-citizens streaming over the border.
