Yeah, it's strange. some areas have snow. Others do not. I went up one mountain and got turned back by snow on New Years day. Next day I rode a mountain just to the south of that one and clear as a bell.

Evening, Stan. I don't think there is a mountain here that isn't snow covered.

Howdy Greg.
I believe that all flows south in the spring ... toward Lake Mead, correct?

Your mountains are bigger than ours. That said, anything over 3000 feet is covered. Mt Hood is white as a ghost. Not long ago it was brown and green. But look at all the green down below.

Mt St Helens and Mount Adams are likewise covered.

Our area is unique in that a lone mountain really stands out. Whereas the Rockies, you lose count. Both very cool. Just a different kind of cool. Oh.....and ours are volcanoes that could theoretically blow any time.

Mead and Powell. And they need it. But we need it too.

That's quite the contrast, Bob. Right now, everything east and west is snow covered.

I was in Pasco, 230 miles east when Helens blew, quite a rumble. I think the farthest I've heard anything else was less than 30 miles, maybe even 20.
