If the weather predictions are right it will be a cold Christmas. We will be able to have a fire in the fireplace as we enjoy the family visit. It is usually in the high 70's. It's going to be awesome.

Wifey asked me to go to the store and pick up a couple things. Stupid me..... went to Kroger and that place was packed. I mean packed. It took me an hour to get milk, chicken, some pop (sodas for those of you not from Michigan!). I could hardly get up and down the aisles. I stood in check out line for almost 30 minutes. I just hope she has everything she needs now for Christmas!!!

Wanted to move the truck yesterday, and just got a clunk from the starter, even though it was measuring 12+ volts. Was getting dark, so procrastinated till today. Terminals didn't look too bad, shined them up anyway and of course still had the clunk. Relays were working, solenoid obviously working, so at that point which is it, dead winding or frozen starter? Ready to give up when I made a last try, turned the key 4 or 5 times and it broke loose and started. First time I've had a starter freeze in cold weather. With the biggest gloves that could hold a wrench, my fingers were good for about 10 minutes today. At least it got slightly above zero while I was out there. I had to take my gloves off for about 5 minutes to get the screws started back on the battery terminals, I don't think they were damaged too much by frostbite...

Prayers for my neighbors wife, Denise. I'm in Gatlinburg visiting mom for a few days when the neighbor calls saying his wife had passed out. I told him to hang up and call 911. I call the OLs nephew and ask him to go help. He called saying he couldn't get in as the paramedics were there and conducting CPR. He won't last long without her
