Evenin Woods! Home from Sister In-Laws place. Dinner was traditional...turkey, ham, taters, rolls (dinner & belly types), pumpkin pie. Good time.

Girls are going Black Friday shopping toomorrow. They plan on leaving here at 0520! They only realize there is a 5 AM once a year

Since they are going out & about I figured I'd check the oil. Pulled out the dipstick, wiped it & set it down. The damn thing slid & fell into the engine compartment but I couldn't see it no matter my angle. Banjamin was finally able to find & recover it.

As expected, the feast was amazing. We ended up with an 18 pound turkey, so lots of leftovers. Cheryl got it from a local free range farm (never frozen) and it was damn tasty. More "gamey" than any turkey I've had before, but in a good way. Apple cranberry pie on deck and drinking Old Fashions while watching "Spirited". It's a strange combination of awful and pretty good. I will say, it's an original twist on A Christmas Carol.

 

So this was our turkey nightmare. We spent over 400 bucks within a month. Get a turkey she said they’re free today. That was two weeks ago. Get home no room in freezer. Why? Of course there’s a turkey in there. So we take that out and put the free one in. But wait. It’s too early!! The damn thing spoiled!! So throw that out dig out the free turkey. While digging guess what I found ?
Another dang turkey!! That was our meal ticket this year. How do you do that??forget about a turkey?!
