Russ, I look forward to meeting the new pup!

Brian, beautiful animal. Don't ever let her get over on you. Always be the boss. Those dogs are incredibly smart and are always trying to outsmart you. Our Weimaraner is dangerously smart. He's a full time job by himself. Can't even talk about things in front of him because he understands it. But, we've taken a lot of time to train and he does things on command. But, when not in that drive, he's thinking of ways to get in trouble.

Thanks Stan, she comes from great blood lines with both maternal and paternal lines having multiple dogs who are very successful in the sport I want to do. I'm excited about it, a little nervous, but looking forward to the journey & experience.

Chris, thank you and understood! You're absolutely correct. Fortunately the breeder is the training director for this club I've been going out to, so we're going to keep working with her, I have a lot to learn!

That's a great attitude. I found training my dogs took training myself too, and explaining to people what they can and cannot do with my dogs in public. I'm excited for you, and I don't envy you starting new.

Definitely a lot of training required for the human, at home, in public, and everything in between. Which I'm actually looking forward to because I struggle with Herc, he's anxious/fearful around new people and has scared the **** out of people way too often. None of the other trainers/behaviorists have ever really been able to help with a true solution, just band-aids or management ideas, so everybody benefits in the end here.

Speaking of prey drive my pitt can and will swallow a rabbit whole I have witnessed this first hand, it was at that moment that I knew she would murder anything in her path.
She's awesome with humans but anything else is just food.

Halito Woods. Late pass thru.... had dentist appointment this morning, along with banking and shopping for Post Club Room. Then the Post credit card would not work at one store....took about 20 minutes and a phone call by the store staff to clear it out. Apparently Visa had some issues with the new year and would not accept our card. But the nice young lady got it straightened out!! And it did take a phone call by her to figure it out. So I'm resting this afternoon and head to local Fire Department to see about training for our new AED unit at the Post. They helped us get the unit, and said they would help with training. So I need to see about that.
Otherwise just a restful afternoon for a bit! I'll be back!!!

These student are the reason we have warning labels on car batteries directing them to not drink the contents. 25MPH is a good speed for them.
