I’ve been looking for a new half-helmet but it must be white, I’ve had it with black ones, too freaking hot.

Howdy Woods!

It's been a minute, huh? I'm trying to keep a positive spin. Let's see what's been going on...

I'm taking an online class for CompTIA A+ Core certification. The class is T/W/Th from 0900-1230. Leaves me plenty of time in the afternoon.

Kids are doing well in middle school, though they argue too f'in much.

Still looking for work. It's a hard job market if you're an IT ***** like me. A lot of layoffs in the first half of the year then there were new applicants graduating with degrees I had to compete with.

I need to gather my medical records so I can file my first futile attempt for SS disability. I say futile as a lawyer & a few other people have asked me "Why did you work for 5 years after the stroke and only filing now after you got laid off?" To be honest, I have no f'in idea how to answer.

I've been having trouble with balance and holding onto to stuff with the half of me that works. Neurologist sent me to PT but it didn't help.

My Pop came up for Thanksgiving & Christmas. He made homemade pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving.

The Raiders are as good as they have been in recent memory. FSU lost their QB so they weren't considered for the NCAA championship but still get a bowl game against Georgia.

Had a friend from GA visit a in October & left me half a bottle of Makers Mark. My Pop left a 1/4 full bottle of George Dickel Rye after Christmas. Free booze tastes really good!

Didn't Chuck @Backforty do a fairly exhaustive half helmet comparison before he bought one not long back?

I wouldn’t call it exhaustive but I looked at a few. I wasn’t unhappy with my Akery but it wasn’t DOT rated in spite of the sicker saying so. The HD fit my head the best of the ones I was trying on. I measure a Lg but the HD is a 2XL . The pull down sun visor is a huge plus if you get caught riding in the rain. Only draw back is the “ mushroom head “ look ☹️

That LS 2 that Trish has would be a nice choice

Here is your answer…

Why did you work for 5 years after the stroke and only filing now after you got laid off?"

I've been having trouble with balance and holding onto to stuff with the half of me that works. Neurologist sent me to PT but it didn't help.
Also you were working from home which made your mobility issues less apparent.

Happy New Year!
