TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
I have successfully secured a couple of agave and two Beaked yuccas. Purchased from the former Department Chair of the Biology department at Sul Ross University. We talked about all the plants she had and she was a wealth of information. She and her SO, live in a house not far from the Antelope Lodge. Our specimens are much, much smaller than this photo.

During sourcing for these plants, I learned a lot about the black market of plants from here. I looked at ads on FB marketplace and now know that those plants are “poached”. I read a great story from Texas Monthly about a guy from west of Fort Stockton who has a yucca farm. The link is below.
