TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
Afternoon, Mick.
Denny, I went and read your post. You weren't near harsh enough, not that it matters with that *******. Gotta go BIG if you're gonna take a risky shot at an ******* that deserves it. But he thrives on that stuff, so take my for what its worth.
Me being the cynical *** that I am, the B-ball player probably did get himself caught up in something stupid in order to get himself shot. At best being stupid with a loaded weapon, at worst doing something stupid with his life.

Thanks Greg.... I know but after awhile and his constant idiotic dialog, I had to say something!!! I know....wifey tells me all the time to shut up!
Bill....forgot about Burress. I'm hoping that when the news finally comes out, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope he wasn't doing anything stupid!!

Well it’s official we’re staying put. We decided on Applebees take out for tomorrow and Christmas meals. We have some presents here so there’s going to be Christmas!
Evening Woodsnitzes from Alpine, TX, home of the Sul Ross Lobos. It took us about 7 hours to get here today which isn’t bad considering it is 480 miles. It rained on us quite a bit and is raining down here too. We are hopeful that the rain will translate into a desert “bloom” in the next few days. Tomorrow, we are headed down to Terlingua to visit the ghost town then drive the river road to Presidio to one of our favorite Mexican food places. The temps are very mild for this time of year with a high of 74° today.

Lupe was here to greet us. Her appearance was not as I had imagined and I have to say, very disappointed. Good news is that grocery store has been remodeled and is not as “picked over” as in times past. State Troopers are patrolling heavily in town and I expect closer to the border. We definitely will be carrying the Saint and large bore handguns down by the border.

The trifecta in a couple of hours will have all been watched for the Christmas season. Last week included Going My Way and The Sound of Music, tonight it's The Bells of St. Mary's.
I've turned into my pholks.
