4 stripes per belt. Year and a half in white, 2 years in blue, year and a half in purple and brown. Depending on skill you can get promoted earlier.

 

I'm more of a zip tie and hose clamp guy.

Watched Air on Prime. About the swoosh shoe company signing Michael Jordan to a shoe deal. Thoroughly good and no woke **** about who makes the shoes, Phil Knight, etc. Included is an interesting character study of Jordan's Mom and Dad.

Thanks Mick! I'm excited. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little nervous that I'm biting off more than I can chew, but at least I know it'll be a challenge and am looking forward to it

@soft 02 How would you suggest somebody new to BJJ finds the right place to go start learning? I'm sure like with anything, some places are better than others, and it seems whoever has the best social media marketing is always the busiest, but not always the best.

 

See if you have a Gracie Barra school or SBG school around you. They are both family friendly. Plenty of kids classes and every day working folks. The mma and competition gyms should probably be avoided. No one wants to get hurt. We have adults in their 70's training. I will train to a person's level or if they have issues.
