Evening Mick, Russ, Greg, Bill, Rob, John.
Spent some time under the Jeep. Got the oil pan off and I'm looking for things that would make "bad noises". I'm told broken piston skirts are not uncommon, but they appear to be fine.
Other than that watching the battle of the birds in Seattle. Apparently the Igles have not beat the Shehawks at home in forever. I think tonight is the night.

Yeah, it sounds like a diesel motor. From the interwebs experts I've heard it can be anything from "It's a Jeep thing", leave it be, to lifter noise, to broken piston skirts. The latter is what I was looking for. I didn't find any chunks in the pan, and the three I could see looked good. So I don't think that's it, which is a relief I guess. But now I have to keep hunting.

The hemis had a cam/lifter problem if you let them idle excessively. I don't know much about the 3.6 other than I'm not impressed
