What ever you do, don't be the 13th. They'll crucify you.

Good luck to you Chris.....sometimes ya gotta just not say anything and toe the line. Let others take care of things and prove themselves wrong. Hang in there Bud!!

Oh well, I'm employed for now. I don't expect that to change. It's just some things that were acceptable, are no longer acceptable, even though all things are within the guidelines of policy.
What's the chain of command like in a Sherriff's office? Is your boss the Sherriff himself, or do you have layers in-between you and the top?

We are all PD's here. We have State Troopers too but primarily everything is PD. I've always had a minor curiosity as to all of the differences. I know generally, Sheriffs are elected by the people, and Chiefs and/or Commissioners are appointed by other elected officials but that's about it.

Me, I'm over patrol, but in the CID division, so I outrank them, but do not command them. I have a Captain as my direct supervisor because I'm a Sergeant. Then the Chief Deputy, and the Sheriff. So, I'm pretty close to the top, as far as CoC goes.

It's just growing pains. Eventually, I'm sure things will settle again. I'm not singled out or picked on, just frustrated.

I was meeting with the new contract administrator and I reminded him that he was 51 days overdue on his last payment.

Morning, morning Woods. Backreading completed, emails answered, coffee consumed, Zoey has been fed. Time to put a couple of pounds of air in the tires on the blue bike and head out.

As I continue to shop the site I see this....in the men's section. You wear sparkly pants rolled up like that your Page23 *** is gettin kicked.

New helmet, new boots, stylishly cuffed sparkly pants….I dunno Mick…
