I've fired twice with rifles, both surprised me and I made almost panic shots without even raising the rifles to my shoulder. The first, a .22, almost took the snake's head off, the second, a .223 only left tiny pieces (damned lucky unaimed shots). Didn't know what kind the first was, or the second, but the second had already bit someone and it was definitely poisonous. Luckily he recovered in the hospital. When offroading in AZ, carried a .357 in a hip holster, never needed it, like you, never wanted to. Nobody said anything about it in AZ, here someone would probably call the police.

My grandpa used to load his 357 with snake shot. I saw him dispatch many a serpent.

That's what the first round in the .357 was, figured a first shot would probably be quick and unaimed and would be nice to at least hurt and make what I was shooting at pause long enough for a kill shot. Fired a couple of those to see how they spread - within 8 ft, I could have missed by a couple feet and still killed a snake. More than that, why bother, just stay away from it they usually won't chase trouble.

Eavning all. Food consumed. Had a mystery 10 year old bottle of wine that was pretty good and paired well with Mama's cheesecake. Time to watch the Seacocks get killed!!!

I hope everyone had a wicked awesome turkey day.
We had 37 people at the church for dinner all the food was home made, we had 64 pounds of turkey 15 pounds of stuffing 12 pound spiral ham more side dishes than I could count, Everybody got to take home a plenty of food, I had a blast it was my first time ever doing something like this and so long as the church does I'll participate and cook.
I ate so much it hurt to sit (lol) came home in time to see the lions lose (Booo) got to see the Cowboys have a big win. (Yippee) Even though I'm not a Cowboys fan.

What a great Thanksgiving.

T.J. his missus and kids went over to her parents house. Me and Cool Hand Luke decided to hang out in the shop and work out on the speed bag after dinner. His hand eye coordination is getting damn good.
