TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
Mornin, Russ Chamber day here as well. The helmet wasn't a consideration, black (the West coast tour cured me of that) . I've not thought modular.
I wore my half helmet the other day while riding and it was hot as hell as it just seemed to soak up the heat.

@NoRegerts If I can tear you away from crime fighting, wedding photo shoots and the care and feeding of TLT it was suggested I ask you about the Cardo comm system.

There you have it Mick, a ringing endorsement without scads of anecdotal evidence.

On another helmet fit issue, Helmet House FINALLY has the 31mm cheek pads in for the RF-1400 helmets. The helmets come with 35mm pads and they make it fit very snug so I hope these will help that some.

Russ and I rode to Spanish Fort, TX. Site of a 1759 battle between the Indians and Spaniards. Very isolated area, we're the only 2 there. Up rides a guy on a Honda 500. Turns out he's Korean. Fascinating guy who related the story of his Father and family escaping the Chinese Communist surge during the Korean War. Proceeds to give us an oral history of his life, children, marital status, etc. Hadn't ridden since he was a kid, kids grown, now divorced, buys the bike 8 weeks ago, yada, yada, yada.
I said all that to say after having served where Koreans were part of NATO combat forces he was without doubt the most talkative Korean I've ever seen. Did I mention he killed the bike twice as he was making his exit? All in all a fascinating encounter.
