I will share an advanced skill we practiced on Julie, daughter of the owners of the Horny Toad Cafe. A woman who in her younger years had to be one of the best looking girls in Cranfills Gap, TX. About early 40's now with beautiful eyes and smile.

She had a great personality and is involved in a fund raising charity in honor of her deceased sister that provides diabetes testing for children among other infant/childhood ailments. We each gave her a donation, sounded like a great work. She said they raised around $130k this year.

 

A 6 dollar Starbucks coffee beverage Mick. I was elated...

 

ya know there’s a reason she is a waitress and not a nuclear physicist. How on earth would she know ? All she saw was 40 bucks. She had to ask. Giving her a credit she knew a twenty alone would not Cover the tab. But I fail to see why this is insulting.

Course I fail at more things than I care to admit these days. But that’s a debate for another day month, , year.

 

Maybe not rocket science, but I guarantee you - a waitress can do that math faster than anyone because that's her paycheck. And in this case she was angling for a 65% tip, which is not customary. And she knew it.

 

Especially since she KNEW she wasn’t hot enough for that.

 

oh. My bad. I thought she gave great service like I said about failing. I do it all the time.

 

and then there’s that. Not a heartbreaker I take it.

 

Just got informed we are off to Costco in the next 1/2 hr and I'm driving....
