Slept 11 hours and I feel worse than yesterday. Used a covid test even though it doesn't feel like it did when I did have covid, and was negative. Just a persistant sinus infection I guess. Dry but cold and overcast day, so I'm not missing out on outside activities at least. Only had a sandwich so far today, last meal was lunch yesterday. Maybe I'll lose a couple pounds, do that every day till Christmas and I'd be at a good weight. Like that could happen...

I did some round trips from Savannah to Florida before I95 was opened and before that bridge was there, but thought it was a pretty scenic drive along the eastern edge. Some of those old two lanes were more interesting to drive than interstates. While I wouldn't want to live there, Georgia has/had some good roads, as long as you don't go near Atlanta.

I liked Tybee Island closer to Savannah before it was called that, when it had the fort and a few weathered shacks by the road going there and a little food shack near the beach with good crabburgers, only place to eat at the time, or so I remember. Practically deserted in the winter. Don't think I'd like it now, another overcrowded tourist trap. The really good places I've been that I might have liked to live in are mostly gone now, built over by progress.

@Imold You inspired me to make my own burger meat. Gab has one of those kitchen aide gadgets, I ordered a grinder attachment for it.

Any particular mixes that are a go-to? The sirloin tip you used looked good.
All I added to it was the bacon. Most of it will be used in stuff like chili, Italian dishes, stuffed peppers, things that will have their own seasoning. Used to cook some of it in patties for hamburgers, haven't done that for a couple years, but then all I did was sprinkle some steak seasoning on it while cooking.
