TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
My lovely wife, my 19-year-old side chick and I decided to ride to Pittsboro about 20 miles away and have late lunch at a place called Virlie's Grill (named after the owner's Great Grandmother). Local diner style place. Today's special: Chicken and Dumplings. Yes, ma'am. On the way back we explored what used to be a cold war bio fuel research facility, that now has a brewery, meadery, distillery, hemp clothing place, etc. Very cool place. Here is a pic of the 19-year-old side chick
Nice of you, Stan, but he secretly wishes Chris had posted that.
Good late afternoon. It was a nice quiet day. I took the truck to fill up and get it washed. The guy at the car wash was fast asleep on the couch in the office. I stepped in and said "hello" quite loud and I knocked on the window several times. Finally I gave up and left. He must have been tired. I will try again later in the week.
ABC News is reporting the mysterious death of a car wash attendant in Florida. This is breaking, more to follow.

Stopped by the BIL's house after the funeral Saturday because they live close to where the service was held. He had his fishing rig out of the water and at the house. He is an avid offshore fisherman. Works out great because I am an avid fan of eating the catch when he gets back.
