Tape for larger loose fitting or tapered threads like pipe. O-ring or gasket sealed maybe a light touch of Hylomar for peace of mind depending on the plug & location.
That stuff's so expensive it could be used on airplanes. Or Harley's...

After I got out of the military, I almost went the PD/FD route... actually was about 30 seconds away from moving to Ft Worth to chase that... but looking back on it now, I am glad I made the choices I did, as it seems the environment has changed dramatically.

Somehow the sheriff in the town my folks lived in found out I'd just gotten out of the Army, and gave me a call. I did go in and talk to him, but I had other plans and stuck with that. Glad I did, too.

We still let Fort Worth PD beat people (we encourage it in some cases), some need it badly….
