Halito Woods. TGIF I guess. It is Friday isn't it??? You guys been active....I'm sitting here watching Roadkill ......the episode where they are running cars off a high embankment in Alaska. Crazy guys.....
....
I know there's a pond between the spectators and the impacts, but I wonder if a car doing a backflip when it hits could catapult something loose across that pond. Fun to watch, though.
They always make a mess on the bike so I do it myself. I can also insure that the water pump cover is installed correctly so it doesn’t fly off.
The last time I can remember taking a bike to a dealer was in '78 for a Suzuki 850 valve adjustment. It used shims, and I didn't have the equipment or a shim selection for it. Didn't have to worry about a water pump cover.
Have to admit, doing the work on my own bikes has led to some pricey tools, but often not more than the dealer would have charged for using them once. I'm losing my wrenching enthusiasm lately. Have 4 bikes that have been in various states of disassembly for a year or more. So far I haven't run into anything else I couldn't do, getting older might change that if I don't get them back together sooner than later.
