Morning Mick! Dead in the water. While great in concept (especially after 10 margaritas) I find the execution to be daunting.

Did mine last night and don't trust the dealership to do anything unless you need some check marks in boxes. I learned that on the 1st 1,000 mile servicing of my '22 Heritage and even though they checked the box for lubing the jiffy stand? It was so clean and dry? I could've licked that mechanism and not gotten a bad taste in my mouth.

Fast forward to my current '20 SGS? And while they told me they did a 3 Hole on this bike when I traded te Heritage in on it and rode away? I'm glad I only put 3.500 on top of the original 3.500 because here's how things played out...

I dropped the tranny drain plug and got liquid gold. Cool. Probably wasn't even necessary as that's a 20K interval anyway but at least now I know she's getting full synth and then I dropped the primary plug and wow, black gold. They absolutely lied about changing that but the real scary part was dropping the engine oil plug where I also dropped my ratchet because there was zero resistance on it as though it were only finger tightened and there was also zero teflon tape on that one plug where the tranny and primary plugs had teflon tape residue on them.

I don't imagine scumbags would be real concerned about me reporting scumbags because they all already know they're scumbags so I'll just keep that little tidbit to myself and continue to understand that there's only one person I trust in this world to work on my bike. Me.

And I'm good with that! LOL!

Happy Friday, Woods! It feels good to be home for a few days. October calendar has been brutal with 4 weekend shows and 2 mid-week shows on the books. Did a quick 40 minute shuffle this morning. Road King is running like a top. Heading over to the VA hospital for the CT scan in a few minutes. Apparently they want to be sure the kidney stone is still where they expect it to be. Vocal rehearsal this evening with my daughter for a November 4th gig in Florida. Seems like a busy day.

LOL. I am mainly a saxophone player, but have this Americana project with my brother playing bass and my daughter singing lead. Working on vocal harmony stuff tonight.

I would have been a Singer, but I never learned to sew.

I don't use Teflon tape on drain plugs. I buy o rings in bulk and replace them at each change.
