TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
I’m. CNC machinist who does his own modeling, fixture design, setup and programming and once I game things out? They usually send an intern down so they can take dictation from me and capture the process.
We mainly do dod/darpa stuff along with quite a bit of additive manufacturing with a focus on hypersonics and cryogenic rocket components.
(as I chuckle to myself thinking lonelyboner wasn’t far off the mark calling me poindexter! LOL)

This looks just like the Maverick Grabber I sold years go with the exception of the Comet tail lights. I wish I still had that car, it was fun.

I knew a guy who bought a brand new 1969 Maverick....got it home.... pulled the engine and put a hopped up 302 Boss type engine in it with a 4 speed. Couldn't believe somebody would order a brand new car, swap engines and head out on the street!!!
A friend of mine in Arkansas had a 302 Grabber. That thing could smoke the tires pretty good. I had a 74 Camaro that was pretty quick too. We had some fun tearing up the Arkansas roads in those cars. I recall one Fall night we (4 and 4) were running back from Eureka Springs to Rogers. He was in front and all of a sudden I see him go into a full spin. I backed off, but too late and I joined him in spinning. It was the weirdest thing just watching the world go round and round. At one point I saw him disappear and thought "Oh ****", and I followed him down a bluff. Lucky for us it was a bluff that split two roads. His Maverick had the front end hanging off a steeper bluff leading to nothing good. I ended up on the lower road. His car was stuck, so we all had to pile in the Camaro. I'll tell you, 8 guys in one 74 Camaro was tight! Turned out we hit some black ice.

Just filled out an entry form from Taylor Guitars Insider to win a GS Mini Mahogany. They are giving away 5 of them to the drawing winners on Oct 27th.
Figured I’d share that in case anyone’s interested in taking a shot meanwhile? Wish me luck. I’d like to have one but wouldn’t drop coin on a mini.
