Hah! Yeah it is. But I had the 1911 so it was about $500 to convert and will be just as good. And I like the John Browning design. Desert Eagle is nice too, but too damn heavy. S&W Mountain gun would be ideal, but brutal to shoot.

This guy put together a few cases of bear defense with different calibers. My choice would be the biggest **** that I could successfully clear the holster with or a 454 Casull.

i picked up 50 rounds of 290 grain hardcast “guaranteed” to be effective on large bear. I hope to never find out.

A 45 gives you one shot, and it better be between the eyes. Even so, the bear eats you.

I'm holding out for a Springfield hellcat. Waiting for father in law to buy it and gift it to me. At this point it's the only way to get one in Ca. I can't buy off roster guns from cop friends anymore.

Lou, before you buy a Hellcat take a close look at the Sig P365 XL Macro. It comes with a shorter grip if desired.

I know the 365 is better but I already have one Springfield.
