TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge part XIV.
One of the breakfast club bought this in Ft Worth this week. Very clean almost exceptional '72, he already has year proper grille/headlight ordered. CA car.
Now the bitchy little girl part. Shows me pics of it on his trailer and it had right wheel with deepset beauty rings. Took those off, put on the every other car when I was a kid 5 spoke Cragars.
Has SS 396 badging but is a 350. Another boo hiss.
For the price he paid i am thinkin it ain't no step for a stepper to get a real one.
As a driver it is cool.
Edit: it's an El Camino

Yeah, the badging part doesn't sit well with me. Own what you have. I had a 74 454SS El Camino. It was a pretty good looking one - bright red with twin white factory side stripes. Not even slightly fast despite the massive motor. My 74 Camaro LT with 350 was much quicker.
Also took a real (69?) 396 SS El Camino for a test drive. Thing was insane, But the motor was the only good part about the car. The body, frame, and interior were trashed.

Have you received bids for the electrical upgrade so you can plug all of them in simultaneously?

Mick, I don't think Florida power and light is ready for it. The Electra is back in the shop awaiting someday. I found this one months ago and it was still there. It's the lightest LP I've ever picked up. Don't know if that's good or not
After I posted I looked at a number currently offered. A real SS396 seems to be a 43-45k asking price car. What he has is about 35-38.
Based on your description, it's your typical 60 year old car/truck(do we want to have that debate?) 25k on the high side Mick
