John - I'm assuming there is significant travel and lodging involved? That doesn't seem reasonable.

I agree with the rest - lawyer up. But not to protect you from prison - to get you out of attending.

And this had to have been a long time ago. What is the statute of limitations for that crime? (I'm sure as hell not looking it up)
